About AMP21™
Every distribution system manager knows that pole replacement is costly. A consistent program of inspection and re-treatment is a proactive strategy to extend pole life and defer the cost of replacement. AMP21T is a non-toxic alternative to groundline wraps and pastes. It's lower installation costs can help you stretch your maintenance budget and reduce your use of hazardous materials.
Using AMP21™—
AMP21™ is applied by inserting rods into the soil immediately adjacent to the wood at a rate of 1 rod for every 6" of wood circumference. This can be done when the area around the wood has been excavated, or more efficiently, by driving a guide rod into the soil near the wood removing the guide rod and placing the rod of AMP21™ in the hole that is left behind. Either way, installing AMP21™ is more efficient that using a painted-on preservative.
